Hackathon Vienna 2026 — an interdisciplinary hackathon where medical students, software engineers, and data scientists come together to build real AI-driven solutions for real clinical challenges. This event is an official partner event of the European AI Innovation Month 2026, featured by the European Commission.

What happens: Teams of medical students, engineers, and data scientists form around use cases provided by industry and healthcare partners in Vienna. Over 24 hours, they design, build, and pitch working AI prototypes addressing real problems from clinical practice — not hypothetical case studies.

Why this matters: Austria's MedTech ecosystem is full of talented people who understand either the clinical side or the technical side — rarely both. This hackathon is where that gap closes. Participants leave with a working prototype, direct exposure to industry partners, and a place in Vienna's most curated network of clinical-technical talent.
